Vintage Berg Larsen Gold Plated Metal Alto Sax mouthpiece with clear cover and gold plated ligature-RARE!!! 80/1/SMS. Condition is vintage used. I am not the original owner but bought this about 20 years ago. Played it for a while then it sat in my drawer; I have so many mouthpieces it went unnoticed.
THIS IS A VERY RARE BERG WITH A CLEAR PLASTIC CAP WITH THE BERG LOGO. ALSO A GOLD PLATED DOUBLE SCREW LIGATURE WITH THE GOLD PLATED MOUTHPIECE. All have the Berg logo.
Unusual shaped bullet chamber & baffle with a crescent shaped rollover to the inner tip. Unusual bite plate with maroon and black marble swirl pattern.
Table has some patina and plating loss as shown in the pictures.
Rails and tip are smooth to the touch.
Ligature is very bright gold plated in perfect condition.
*Note-the clear cover has a 1/2” stress crack which cannot be felt on either side.
.080 tip opening with the medium small chamber helps give some edge to your sound. This is great for a lead alto player looking to cut through the sax section.
