The hanging ring is made from stainless steel and will not rust.
The ring above the tubes is aluminum and won't dry and crack like a wooden ring would.
Custom made braided dacron string is weather resistant ( 75-250 lb. test)
Unlike other chimes, these are suspended from interior pins placed at the resonate node. This unique suspension design allows the chimes to resonate longer & clearer.
They feature recycled composite lumber strikers. Composite lumber is not only environmentally friendly it also creates a
softer contact sound
when applied to wind chime tubing.  These strikers are not  subject to drying or cracking and require no maintenance.
The varying level of the tubes allows the striker to hit each tube in the center (or "sweet spot").  As xylophone players will attest, the center radiates the purest tone.
The larger radius of the (circle of) tubes provides greater space between the tubes and striker, allowing each note to be heard individually, creating a more melodic sound when the chimes are in play.
Tempered aluminum is a better sound conductor than brass or bronze.
Grace Note Chimes thicker tubing creates a richer sound. The thinner the tube, the thinner the sound. The correct ratio of the wall thickness to the tube diameter is essential in creating the purest tone. Grace Note Chimes tubes are custom made to achieve this critical ratio.
It requires less wind to activate a Grace Note Chime, due to added length on the center string.
The lightweight aluminum windplate also contributes to the ease of play. Unlike heavier wooden windplates, the aluminum is weather resistant.
