Description

MORPHO RHETENOR RHETENOR, the nominate subspecies, is rare enough, in the jungles of Guyana. This rare variation, with the marginal row of white spots on each forewing, is often called form
"cacica" ( "The Chief" ). It is very rare, and almost never represented in even the most extensive collections of Morphidae. This is an expertly spread, near perfect specimen of this
fabulous beauty. Only a few are available.
