    Description

    Gale Custom tenor saxophone mouthpiece with an 8C facing. These are narrow mouthpieces that are more suited to using a hard rubber alto ligature. The aluminum metal band is original the mouthpiece, and I suspect that it was there to prevent cracks. Sure enough, in my experience, most of these mouthpieces have hairline cracks on the shank (even the mouthpiece like this pictured on Theo Wanne's website has a crack). This one does too, but the band prevents it from spreading further.
    This mouthpiece has a rare 8C facing, which is right in line with tip openings that many tenor players play on today. It measures .109" on my gauge.
