his listing is for a vintage Brilhart mouthpiece for Bb soprano clarinet. It is a Carlsbad, CA era Brilhart, with the serial number 116496 on the side in small font. This is an Ebolin version of the "Special" model. The Special was designed for students, although it is still a very good quality mouthpiece. It was made in only one facing, that which was considered ideal for the design of the piece, and for its target demographic. The tip opening measures .045".
This mouthpiece is in fair condition. It could stand to be refaced due to some pretty good sized nicks on the side rails. The tip and table are smooth though. There is scratching/scuffing on the exterior. There are no tooth indentations on the beak. The cork is in good condition, but it may need to be replaced or adjusted for proper fit on your instrument. This mouthpiece has been cleaned and sanitized.
