Works great, after you lubricate it. Right out of the box it will work for a short period of time but then you will not be able to change/move the Lift/Lower Lever from Lift to Lower mode and visa versa.

The pins that keep the jack together started to bend after just a few uses but the jack still worked enough to finish removing fourteen cement encased deck posts from the ground before finally breaking while pulling up the last post. Even though it only lasted one job, it was a big job and, in my opinion, worth the money.
I read from previous reviews that the base plate is the weak link, but so far the Jack has worked...

This jack made it much easier and quicker to remove rotten fence posts with their concrete, in one great heave. Watch the youtube videos to see how to do this, making sure you keep the jack vertical and close to the post, dig out enough around each post and buy the chain set with the 2 hooks that HD recommends with the jack purchase. You will find that you can remove multiple posts in a day. This has saved my husband's hands and shoulders. It meant that he could remove 2 posts and rebuild the fence sections in one weekend, versus spending one long tedious day digging out one post and chipping up the concrete.
