his listing is for a Beechler metal alto saxophone mouthpiece. It is the model commonly called the "Bellite", although they are not actually marked as such on the mouthpiece. This is the quintessential smooth jazz mouthpiece, as played by Dave Koz, and Eric Marienthal. It is a very early example of this model, from the early 1980's. Beechlers from this period are characterized by thinner rails, a more curved tip, facing number on the table, and most importantly, vertical milling lines on the table. This piece has all of those attributes.
This mouthpiece is in excellent condition. The facing is perfectly smooth. There are no dings or gouges, and it has not been refaced or otherwise altered. It has never been dropped or damaged either. The shank is round. There are no indentations on the bite plate. There is some ligature scratching on the exterior, but that is about it. It has been cleaned/sanitized.
Also included are the original cap and ligature for this mouthpiece. Both are in excellent condition as well. The ligature has not been bent out of shape, and the screws work perfectly.
Please feel free to email me with any questions.
