his listing is for a Bari (brand) alto saxophone mouthpiece. This seems to be modeled after the classic Meyer hard rubber pieces, which have become the mainstay for jazz altoists. In fact, I think the silver shank band is as much as nod to Cannonball Adderley's similarly banded NY Meyer as it is a protective device.
Unfortunately this mouthpiece has had an amateur refacing job that certainly did not improve it. I'm barely able to get a sound out of it in its current state. The rails are very wide, and I suspect the curve has been altered to the point where the reed won't vibrate correctly on it. I don't think that it is beyond repair, but it would need to be corrected by someone who actually knows what they are doing.
Aside from the facing being all messed up, it is in fine condition. There are no tooth marks or other damage.
