Here is a framed Butterfly Display from my father's collection.
He was an Entomologist (1937-1971.) The bulk of his collection has been featured at the Allen Museum of Entomology in Sarasota, FL for decades before it was passed on to the University of Florida where it now resides.
He died in 1971, so this piece is at least 50 years old. It is the ONLY piece that I have from his collection that he personally made. I have one other piece from his collection - a framed piece featuring butterflies from Brasil but he did not make that one. I will probably list that soon. I was very young when he passed, but I recall him using the cotton pins & label maker.
He labeled it Indo/Australian 3. Each butterfly is also labeled with their latin names - I took closeups of ea so you can read them.
It is in Very Good Condition with damage to one of the butterfly wings.
