10K Solid Gold German Eagle Verein Der Freiheit Freedom Shield Badge. 7/8" x 1 1/8" and in very nice condition. Not sure on the translation but Verein means Association or Society and Freiheit is Freedom or Liberty. I am not familiar with this but I would guess it could stand for several things. Possible was some type of WWII or before group or fraternity? It is quite unusual and is not hallmarked but has been tested as 10K and I do guarantee the content. Weighs 2.3 grams.
